Representation

Protecting your tenancy and enforcing your rights.

Eviction & rent-claim defense

We defend nonpayment and holdover proceedings, challenge unsupported claims, and seek their dismissal. We review your lease, payment records, notices, and court papers, develop the evidence to best support your position, and assert relevant defenses and counterclaims to protect your tenancy.

Rent stabilization & overcharges

We investigate whether your tenancy is regulated and whether you have been overcharged. We analyze the rent history and supporting records to pursue repayment and other available relief, including treble damages—three times the overcharge—where authorized under New York rent-stabilization law. We also assert overcharge claims and defenses in existing proceedings.

Repairs, harassment & nuisance

We pursue repairs and other relief for unsafe conditions, harassment, and interference with your home. We handle habitability, quiet enjoyment, and nuisance claims, including those arising from excessive noise from neighboring tenants or others. We also defend tenants against nuisance allegations.

Lockouts & emergency relief

We seek court orders to address unlawful lockouts, stay an eviction, or protect your tenancy and continued occupancy from immediate threats. We promptly review urgent developments and the relief available to you.
